The 2008 Ferrari 430, a 2-door, 2-passenger luxury sports car, comes in three trims: the Coupe and the Convertible Spider (which are carryovers from 2007), and the new Scuderia. The coupe and convertible are equipped with a standard 4.3L V8 490-hp engine paired to a 6-speed manual transmission with overdrive as standard, and a 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive as optional. The new Ferrari 430 Scuderia is a high-performance Berlinetta with an extremely low weight-to-power ratio of 2.45 kg per bhp and a 4308cc V8 engine boasting 510 bhp at 8500 rpm. To add to the Scuderia's ability to thrill the driver, the car comes with F1 Superfast, which reduces gear change times to just 60 milliseconds, and new traction control that, for the first time, combines the E-Diff electronic differential and F1-Trac traction and stability control in a single integrated system.
