The 2009 Audi R8 is a carryover from the 2008 Audi R8, which is Audi's first ever mid-engine sports car. The 2009 R8 has a 420-hp V8 engine and AWD. It shares the mid-engine platform with the Lamborghini Gallardo. The Audi R8 features a standard manual in addition to the optional automated manual transmission. Audi claims a 0-62 mph time of 4.6 seconds, which many are deeming on the conservative side. The 2009 R8 offers the choice of LED or Xenon headlamps surrounded by LED running lights and indicators.
