2009 Buick Lucerne

2009 Buick Lucerne Overview
Introduction

The elegant Lucerne is Buick's flagship sedan, boasting a plush interior and smooth road manners. It provides comfortable seating for up to six passengers, along with premium amenities and comprehensive safety equipment.

The front-wheel drive Lucerne is offered in three trim levels: CX, CXL and Super. For 2009, the CX and CXL are equipped with a new, more powerful 227-hp 3.9-liter V6 engine, while the Super retains its 292-hp 4.6-liter Northstar V8; both engines are mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. The CX is outfitted with 17-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning and satellite radio; CXL trims add automatic climate control, leather seat trim, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. The Super is further equipped with an adaptive sport-tuned suspension with Magnetic Ride Control, 18-inch alloy wheels, upgraded audio and ventilated front seats, as well as exclusive upholstery and trim elements. Safety features found on every Lucerne include traction control, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes, front side-impact and side-curtain airbags; Stabilitrak electronic stability control is standard on Super trims and available on the CX and CXL, while Lane Departure Warning and Side Blind Zone Alert systems are optional on CXL and Super trims.

For 2009, the Buick Lucerne receives upgrades to standard equipment, including Bluetooth wireless connectivity for all trim levels, and minor option package adjustments. Additionally, the CXS trim is removed from the model lineup.
